*Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses that are government-funded by the Department for Education’s Skills for Life campaign. Courses are fully funded by the Government for independent learners (individuals not being co-funded by their employer) and for the self-employed. Employers can use Skills Bootcamps to upskill their staff but are required to contribute to the training: 10% for SMEs or 30% for corporations.

Skills Bootcamps are a great way to upskill or transition your existing game development skills into an area of high demand – Unreal Engine 5 development – while taking advantage of generous government funding to enable you to do so for free*.

We offer Unreal Authorised training with game development professionals and a way to practice your new skills on a live project. Furthermore, we will also provide you with the professional development support you need to secure your next contract work upon completion of the Skills Bootcamps. We will help you develop an action plan and provide 6 months of support to help you execute it.

If you are looking to offer game development services and do not want to compete in the jobs market, then this option is for you. INFINITY27’s Unreal Engine 5 Skills Bootcamps immerse learners in our remote game studio. Learn from and practice with our core development team as you build towards developing skills, behaviors, and career prospects, over 100 hours of guided learning. This is work-based, instructor-led training designed for game developers, by game developers.

Train on a live project game project – Samsara – which will help you improve your portfolio and give you the experience of applying your skills in the industry on an in-development game title. We provide hard and soft skills training to develop your employability and build your career prospects upon completion of the Skills Bootcamp.

At the end of our Skills Bootcamps, each candidate will be given support to help them reach their career goal, e.g.: securing contract work (freelance/self-employed); advancing within their current games industry role (upskill/promotion); preparing for a guaranteed interview in a relevant role within the industry. Following the Skills Bootcamp we provide at least 6 months of continued professional development support, including IAG (information, advice, and guidance) and coaching, via PROTOGÉ CIC. Your employer can also opt for additional professional development support for you, as you settle in and continue your games career journey.

Unreal Engine 5 Skills Bootcamps at INFINITY27 are fully remote meaning you can learn and train from your own space.

You can expect to be in a live voice and video chat with our developers for the duration of your training period. Access to sessions will be via scheduled Google Meet sessions (voice & video) as well as an office-hours, “drop-in/drop-out” Discord channel (voice & text). Sessions include a combination of lectures, seminars, and workshop activities, for which delivery is recorded and accessible through a cohort-specific Google Classroom.

The training content will be delivered during the evenings (6-8 PM) on working days (Monday-Friday) and there will be time for you to practice your skills during guided learning hours (10 AM – 8 PM), in the pursuit of completing an assessed brief, which you will present towards the end of the course. We are an independent game studio and Unreal Authorised Training Center. Your instructors are active industry professionals and so are your mentors, who will be providing you with live instructor-led training and professional development support for the duration of the Skills Bootcamp and beyond.
